This is the official website of the Satanic Chapel (formerly known as
the East Los Angeles Church of Satan) founded in the night of Halloween of
1999 (prior to the First Satanic Church by Karla LaVey) by High Priest
Antonio Gonzales, a former member of the Church of Satan. It will be
succeeded by "Knife" Sotelo, also a former Church of Satan member. The
Satanic Chapel adopts from the Universal Life Church but are a seperate
entity from them, we are Satanic in nature and were also the first to coin
the phrase "Processive Satanism". We were established due to the lack of a
Satanic presence and are dedicated to the study of Satanism and the occult
sciences. It is highly supported by the Sinagogue of Satan though the
Satanic Chapel functions according to the rules and regulations based on
"The Satanic Bible" by Anton Szandor LaVey. "Knife" Sotelo is the current
administrator and is an ordained priest of the Sinagogue of Satan. The
Satanic Chapel is headquartered and operates in the heart of East Los
Angeles and accepts members internationally, it is recommended to those
applicants living in the vicinity of Los Angeles County or within a
reasonable distance there of.

The Satanic Chapel is an international "business" so to speak, we are
Universal. What do we mean when we say Universal? "Satanists are born, not
made." Therefore we have people as well as congregations all around the
world. The sun never sets on the Satanic Chapel. We have, within this
church, a very liberal type of religion, but, we also have conservative
types of people. Satanism is Universal. The Satanic Chapel acts as a global
network for satanic organizations that promotes a general knowledge and
acceptance of the concept of individual rights and responsibility, yes we
are a non-denominational church. Satanism spreads the seed, the light and
philosophy of freedom throughout the world. It encourages self reliance and
freedom along with social responsibility. It supports those that would be
trampled asunder by the mob mentality of the society be it they that show
the understanding and responsibility, the philosophy of Satanism teaches. It
supports individual rights to life, liberty, acquired property and the
pursuit of truth and happiness. It supports all religions right to exist and
individual right to belief. Freedom means breaking away from the status quo
almost like when Satan broke ranks from God and became the first
revolutionist (freedom fighter). The aim and the goals of the chapel is to
usher in the great satanic age and to hasten the displacement of the
crumbling and decaying Christian churches and the religions and governments
so that those who are unprepared for these changes will most certainly
perish, so that those who put their faith in foolish politicians, stagnant
government and hypocritical religions shall be most certainly be doomed. The
chapel exists to give subcultures and minority religions a legal connection
to their beliefs that can be used in a court of law if the need arises such
as housing, job discrimination, harassment and insuring religious rights
while in the military services (this includes religious sacraments i.e.
Cannabis). The chapel makes everyone an inverted star of the serpent and
the epopt of the illuminati. It accomplishes the great work of spiritual and
material evolution through religious and scientific method. The chapel gives
the voiceless a voice and the weak strength. The chapel supports the rights
of diversity and of the individuals right to freedom. It supports and
accepts all religions right to exist, but do not entangle their freedom in
politics, ethics and actions of other groups. The chapel has a priesthood
and offers ordination through Universal Life Church Headquarters. Our
activities, newsletters and memberships are mostly done offline, the reason
for this is simply that we are primarily an offline organization, and doing
things in the real world has proven to be a more effective way of weeding

This religion/philosophy/belief is based on Anton Szandor LaVey's theory of
Satanism as described in his work "The Satanic Bible", from which the quote
at the top of the main page was taken. Anton Szandor LaVey's theory on
Satanism is and will always be about Freedom like those of the Satanists
today (Modern Satanists), we will go far as proclaim that we are the "True
path of LaVeyan Satanism". We do however have a close connection with
Stanton LaVey (Anton LaVeys Grandson), he was born and raised in the Church
of Satan and has proved our instigations against the Church of Satan as well
as also proving almost the whole Satanic Community that the once so great
organization has failed so miserably since the death of Anton LaVey,
although Stanton wants nothing to do with the Church of Satan he's still
keeping them in business. The Satanic Chapel cannot be denied nor can we
deny being a direct descendant of the Church of Satan.

As members of the Satanic Chapel you have the right to do as you will as
it is true freedom, as you see we do not work in the boundaries of the laws
because many of us weren't consulted when the goddamn laws were made,
instead nameless faceless politicians the so called protectors of the moral
majority decide what is right and what is wrong, honestly that's all
bullshit, LaVeyan Satanist's got through life with their own personal code
of ethics. That way, if within the constructs of our own reality we do
things that are illegal, so be it! We feel no guilt whatsoever and
furthermore if we were to abide by the social weight of the system by
hearing the laws that we do not truly believe in then we would be
extinguishing the very fire of patriotism and individuality. In a sense, by
living free we would be preserving the rights that our Masonic forefathers
fought and died for. Thomas Jefferson once said "If a law is unjust, a man
is not only right to disobey it, he is obligated to do so." Make your own
choice. Read and make your own decisions, do what is right. Whether your a
Satanist, Muslim, Catholic or a Cannabis convert. You have probably come to
the realization that freedom is the answer. Our Masonic fathers of the U.S.
came to this land in hopes of religious freedom along with other freedoms.
Ignorance cost millions. The Bill of Rights was drafted to ensure certain
rights. We need to educate ourselves and we can start standing up for our
community. Now is the time to unite and let the power of the people work for
us. Religious rights are the only federal protection we have so learn to use
